It would appear that Rye Playland has moved on from the hard-rock era, as White Lion was nowhere to be heard during my outing there over the weekend. However, in addition to playing nearly every single that Chris Brown and Lil Wayne have put out this year, the Westchester County amusement park's sound system drenched thrill-seekers in boomy dance music, with the playlist including a version of the Pussycat Dolls' When I Grow Up that made the song even more annoying and a seemingly cobbled-together dance remix of Coldplay's Viva La Vida.
